Montgomery Howard Davison was one of six children of George Lincoln and Margaret (Boyd) Davison. The children are listed in "Biographical and Genealogical Record of La Salle County, Illinois", Vol. 1, p. 46. "Howard" was his maternal grandmother's maiden name. After Montgomery's wife died, he moved to California to be with his brother, Sidney Lawrence Davison, who he is buried next to.
