Ella J Neifert

Ella Jennie Neifert, daughter of Sarah J and David W. Anderson, was born on her father's homestead, a mile north of Glen Elder ,Ks., March 28, 1890 and passed away Nov 6, 1978, in Mitchell County Community Hospital. Beloit Ks., at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 8 days. She was one of 12 children, six boys and six girls, and she is the last to be called home. Ella gave her life to Jesus and became a member fo the Christian Church of Glen Elder, at the age of 17. Following her formal education, she taught school at Carthage, a rural school southwest of Glen Elder.
Ella and Charles A Neifert were united in marriage Sept 25, 1912. They became the parents of two children, Lois and Harold, who enjoyed their kind and loving care. They were engaged in farming south of Glen Elder until May, 1949, when they retired and moved in Glen Elder, where Charles passed away March 8, 1951.
Ella enjoyed her neighbors, friends and relatives, and kept busy and contented at home, with her garden and flowers and making beautiful guilts. With the help of her friends and sister-in-law, she attended the Christian Church and its activities as long as her health permitted. She moved to Hilltop Lodge, Beloit, in November, 1971 where she received the most kind and excellent care.
Survivors are her son, Harold and his wife Ollivia of Glen Elder; and her daughter, Lois Fulton of Wichita; four grandchildren; Mardella Alexander, Salina; Ramona Hower and husband Kendal of Caldwell; Beatrice Graves and husband Robert of Cuba; and Richard Fulton and wife Shirley, Clearwater. There are 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; also here ssister-in-law, Margaret Anderson of Glen Elder; and her Borther-in-law, Jason Lowdermilk and his Wife Pearl of Superior, Neb; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Funeral services where held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, Nov 9, at the Harrison Funeral home, With Rev. Roger Neff officiation. Mrs Dorothy Stetler , organist, played organ selections.
Casket bearers where Ronald McKinnie, Archie Spooner, Willis Johnston, Max Eberle, Max O'Harro and Bill Weidenhaft.
Interment was in Glenwood Cemetery, Glen Elder.
