Eric Preston Bell May 28, 1980 ~ Nov. 1, 2009 Former Pittsburg Resident Eric Bell passed away from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on November 1, 2009 near Isleton. Born in Pittsburg, Eric was a steelworker working at USS-POSCO Industries in Pittsburg, was a member of United Steel Workers Union of America Local #1440, and has lived the last 5 years in Galt. He enjoyed the outdoors: camping and fishing, and also enjoyed football and baseball. His true joys came from spending time with his family and his faithful membership in the LDS Church. He is survived by his loving wife Maria "Cary" Bell of Galt; his children: Eric Joshua Bell, Jacob Preston Bell, and Joseph Wayne Bell and his wife who is expecting their 4th child; brothers: Michael C. Bell of Antioch, Ricky W. Bell of Lodi, mother Patricia Bell of Galt, and grandmother Bernice Bell of Vacaville. He was preceded in death by his father Michael W. Bell. A memorial service to celebrate Eric's Life will take place at 1:00pm on Friday, November 13, 2009 at the Century Blvd. Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1510 W. Century Blvd. in Lodi. The date and place are significant in that Eric and Cary met at the Century Blvd. Chapel, had their wedding reception there, and would have celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary on Nov. 13.
