Pastor Stanley B. Brown, of Myrtle Creek, Oregon, went safely home to his Lord, Jesus Christ, on Monday, November 2, 2009, at the age of 50.

He was born July 27, 1959 in Bayou La Batre, Alabama, to parents, David L. Brown Sr and Juanita (Clark) Brown. He was raised in Alabama.

Stan and Cheryl De Loache' were united as one, in marriage on December 28, 1977, in Bayou La Batre.

Stan attended and graduated from Criswell College in Dallas, Texas, with a Bachelors and Masters degree. He went on to receive his second Masters at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Stan later earned his Doctorate from Golden Gate Theological Seminary in San Fransisco, California.

He was a Christian, loved God and served the Lord as a pastor. In 1997, God called him to Myrtle Creek, Oregon, to minster at the First Baptist Church, which has been home since. He also worked at the Home Depot in Roseburg, Oregon.

He loved music and had taught himself to play the guitar. He also enjoyed hunting and was an avid reader, but mostly it was his family he enjoyed being with, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 32 years, Cheryl Brown and a daughter, Gabrielle Bancroft both of Myrtle Creek. He also leaves his parents of Theodore, Alabama; a brother, David L Brown Jr. of Alabama and a sister, Deanna Haydel of North Carolina. Stan and Cheryl were blessed with five grandchildren, Brianna Harrington; Victoria, Levi, Nathaniel and Brycen Bancroft, all of Myrtle Creek.
