Mr. Johnson was a native of Sweden. He had been engaged in quarrying in the neighborhood for Boise the past 16 years. He was about 45 years old and was not married. He had worked in the Falkstead quarries off and on for the past six years and has been foreman the past two months.

He was a member of the Odd Fellows, the Woodmen of the World and the Eagle's orders. His insurance in Woodman of the World was made payable to his mother. He owns a house and lot on [1012] Warm Springs avenue where he made his home.

He and a brother [Aaron Johnson], who recently returned to Sweden, have been husing their money for the purpose of buying the old home place in Sweden and his brother's presence there now is in connection with that matter. His friends here have cabled the sad news to the brother and funeral arrangements will be deferred until work is received from him.

The body was taken to the undertaking room of Schreiber P& Sidenfaden, where a coroner's inquest will be held at 10 o'clock this morning.

A. H. Falkstead, the proprietor of the quarry where the accident occurred, says that Gus Johnson was one of the best men he ever knew, sober, industrious, honest and true to his friends. Mr. Falkstead will be bear the funeral expenses of his friend and foreman.
