Cora Belle Earp, age 79, of OKC, went to be with her Heavenly Father on 10/31/09. She was born 8/6/30 in Bristow, OK to John Lester and Mary Ophelia (Couch) Johnston. She married William Joel (Joe) Earp on 12/17/55. She graduated from Oklahoma A&M (OSU). Cora was employed by Phillips Petroleum, Tinker AFB, Northwest Cylinder Heads and served for numerous churches. Cora was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Her family and church were the joys of her life, as she spent many hours at the race track, ballpark, and ice rink. She traveled abroad later in life to see many works of her Lord and enjoyed the many wonders that He created. She was surrounded by many friends, with whom she spent hours enjoying cards, companionship and the joys of life. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lester Johnston; and her loving husband, William "Joe" Earp. She is survived by a son, Jim Earp (Sandy); a daughter, Sandy Wahl (Mike); 4 grandchildren, Christi Wahl, Jerremy Wahl (fiancee Amanda Littleton), Brandon Wahl, and Stephen Pierce; 1 great-grandson, Dillon Wahl; 2 sisters-in-law, Edna Mae Johnston and Margaret Laverde; and many other loving relatives and friends. Services to celebrate her life will be 2:00 PM, Wed., 11/4/09, at New Hope United Methodist Church, with interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
