Kurt Roy Longenecker, 62, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009.

Mr. Longenecker was born in Washington, D.C., and moved to The Villages from Monroe, Ga., in 2004. He was a retired special investigator in the insurance industry; member of the First Baptist Church of Lady Lake; and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly; sons Dustin, Hoschton, Ga., Blake, Walnut Grove, Ga.; brother, Mark, Auburn, Mich.; two grandsons; and two step-granddaughters.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at the First Baptist Church of Lady Lake. Visitation will be prior to the service at 1 p.m. Online condolences may be left at beyersfuneralhome.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kurt's name to First Baptist Church of Lady Lake, P.O. Box 207, Lady Lake, FL 32158-0207.
