Funeral for John Wayne Townsley, 87, who died March 9 at the home of his daughter Mrs. Fred Taylor of 1155 Sycamore has been set for 3:30 Wednesday at the Potosi Baptist Church.

The Rev. L. T. Grantham, pastor of the Corinth Baptist Church of Abilene, and the Rev. Dick Bright of Posti will participate. Burial will be in the Seton cemetery under the direction of Elliot Funeral Home.

Mr. Townsley, who was born in Travis County, came to Taylor County 55 years ago. He lived in the Cedar Creek community 45 years before coming to live with his children, Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Rose Pearl Grigg in Abilene. He was married Feb. 13, 1887 to Elizabeth Frances McCright at Elgin, Texas.

Other than his two daughters, Mr. Townsley is survived by eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Lewis Forest, Benton Poston, Joe Warford, Lloyd Byrum, Howard Williams, and W. D. Boyd.
