Gail W. Fields, 81, of Colfax died of cancer on Friday at Heritage Manor in Newton. Services at colfax Presbyterian Church, burial in Colfax Cemetery.
Mr. Fields lived in Colfax most of his life. He retired from Maytag Co. in Newton. He also owned Colfax Skating Rink was a carpenter. He had been a member of United Auto Workers.
Surviving are two daughters, Evelyn Tedrow of Newton and Gloria Rankin of Colfax; two brothers, James of Newton and Virgil of Colfax; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
