Mrs. Minnie V. Bassler, 76 of 1059 "W. Wood street, died at 8:30 oclock last night in a Jacksonville hospital after a three weeks illness.
She was born in Mechanicsburgs, Pa., Jan. 2, 1865 and was married in 1890 to Louis D. Bassler, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Bassler had lived in Decatur 32 years coming here from Assumption. Previously she had lived in Forsyth.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Alva Ruth Westfall, of Decatur and a son Otis L. Bassler of Cleveland. She also leaves a grandson, Louis Westfall of Decatur.
Mrs. Bassler was a member of the First Methodist church. The body was taken to the Dawson & Wikoff funeral home and announcement of the time of services will be made later.
