GUY FOSTER

Guy S. Foster, 70, of Russell, died June 16, 1998 at the Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

He was born on Aug. 11, 1927 in Ames to Catherine and William D. Foster.

He had been a resident of Russell for the last 10 years and the Chariton area for 15 years. He was employed by Iowa State University in Ames as a dispatcher for several years.

He is survived by three sons, Tim Foster of Russell, Terry Foster of Lucas and David Foster of Omaha, Neb.; two daughters, Ramona Ross of Russell and Suzanne Briggs of Albia; a step-son, Walter Hyde of Ames; three step-daughters, Frannie, Nancy and Virginia Hyde all of Ames; six grandchildren, a great grandchild; a brother, Leo Foster of Oskaloosa; and a sister Grace Lind of Ames.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Fielding Funeral Home in Chariton, The Rev. Earl Kelly officiating. Burial will be in the Russell Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
