A native of Brookneal, Va., she was a retired sales associate from Thalheimer's department store. She was also a member of Great Bridge United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene F. Henderson; daughter, Kimberly Anne Bryzinski and son-in-law, John A. Bryzinski of Chesapeake; sister, Mildred V. Garrett of Brookneal; brother, Roger Viar of Brookneal; two grandchildren, Jillian Kate Bryzinski and Jon Michael Bryzinski, both of Chesapeake.
She was the daughter of the late Boysaw and Gracie Viar of Seneca, Va.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Robert C. Hastings. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23513.
