Lydia E. Neathamer, 93, of Cairo died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002, at the home of a daughter in Florissant, Mo.

She was born Aug. 19, 1908, in Ballard County, Ky., daughter of Hubert and Sally Underhill Mosley. She married Joseph Neathamer, who died in 1989.

She was a member of Tigert Memorial United Methodist Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Mary Downs of Cairo, Lydia Hargus of Florissant, Lynda Keller of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Sally George of Union City, Tenn.; three sons, Joseph Neathamer of Terrytown, La., Dr. Thomas Neathamer of Clarksville, Ind., Vernon Neathamer of Cairo; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo after 5 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Tigert Memorial Church, with the Rev. Kelly Cox officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge, Ill.
