He was assigned March 18, 1865 to company G and mustered out of service June 23, 1865 at DeVall's Bluff, Arkansas, with his unit.
He married Mary Ann Beasley Dimon on November 20, 1864 in Bourbon county, Kansas. They had children: Annie Elizabeth ; Catherine; William Thomas; Albert Oran; James; Mary/Mollie/Marian; Henry; Edward; Arthur C; Lee W; Charles William; and Frelyn Earl Beth. This family is found in Kansas State census in Bourbon county, Kansas 1865, 1875, 1885, 1895, 1905, 1915, and 1925.
