BROWNING, Oliver Kennett (Kenney) 86, of Tampa, Fl. Passed away December 4, 2016.

He is preceded in death by his wife Norma Jean (57 years) whom he loved and cherished.

He is survived by his loving family: daughter Connie Putnam; son Oliver K. (Kenney) Browning, Jr ; two grandsons, Kenney Lee ( Stephanie) and John Browning (Natasha); three granddaughters, Kimberly Lorenz (John), Kerianne Fowble (Kenny); nine great-grandchildren, and the other relatives whom knew him as "Brownie" or "Uncle Brownie", and "Kenney" to his many friends, colleagues and the people he'd just meet in whatever setting. He touched many lives and will always be known for his kindness, sense of humor, and what a dancer.

He worked 30 years for Tampa Electric Co. (TECO), retiring in 1990 as Supervisor; 10 years prior he worked for Cincinnati Gas & Light before the family moved from Kentucky to Florida.

A natural athlete with great talent in all sports he participated in, from church to metro fast pitch softball and tournaments (Southern Regional's winner every year. he excelled in. Also, he became known to many kids as "Coach Browning" or "Mr. B" due to his many hours of volunteer work for Interbay Little League, Monroe Jr. High and Robinson High Dad's club and other organizations.

An active member for years at Interbay Moose Lodge 912, known as one of the pioneers whose volunteered time, money, and lots of sweat equity took it from a shack to the building it is today. He was an Elks Club 709 and Legion 139 member too. Brewer FH
