Daniel was the 2nd son and fourth child of Moses Williams and Hannah Draper.
He married Selinda (Lamb) Ellis on 30 Dec 1830 in Charlton, Mass. Selinda was the daughter of Abijah Lamb and Priscilla Pottle, and had previously been married to Royal Ellis, Jr., in Sep 1822 in Charlton; Royal died on 6 Dec the same year.
Daniel & Selinda had two daughters:
1. Selinda Prissilla, b. 11 Nov 1831; and
2. Betsey Lamb, b. 9 Dec 1835
