OBITUARIES
Clifford Swanberg, 49
Henderson, Ky - Clifford D. Swanberg, M/Sgt. U.S.M.C. Ret., 49, died here Sunday.
In his 23 years of active duty in the Marine Corps, he served with the Fleet Marine Forces in Okinawa; Shanghai, China; Korea; Japan; Formosa; the Philippines and Chou Lai, Vietnam.
Upon his retirement in 1968, he went to work for the Anaconda Aluminum Co. in Columbia Falls. Five years ago, he was transferred to the Sebree, Ky. reduction plant.
He is survived by his widow, Margaret; six sons (sic), Christopher, Gregory, Arthur and Thomas; two daughters, Ann Marie and Marguerita; father, C. Sidney Swanberg of Kalispell; two brothers, Donald and Ted of Kalispell; and two sisters, Mrs. Betty Gillette of Blackfoot and Mrs. Jean Wheeler of Tujunga, Calif.
The Rudy Rowland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Services were this morning at the Holy Name Church in Henderson. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, with Marine Corps military rites at graveside.
