The deceased was born January 30, 1834, near West Elizabeth, and he has resided in this immediate vicinity his entire lifetime. He was a veteran caulker and boat builder, and followed that avocation up until about ten years ago. He was a member of the Methodist church of West Elizabeth. He is survived by three sons Benjamin, John and Harry, of this city, three daughters, Mrs. William Allshouse, Mrs. Harry Behanna, of Monongahela, and Mrs. Thomas McManus, of Charleroi. Forty-one grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive.
