Andries (Andrew) Onderdonk married on July 22, 1786 (another account has the date as Jan 22, 1787) Mary Magdalene Moore (1762-1836) of Flushing, dau. of Lambert Moore and Jane Hall. (Jane Hall was Lambert Moore's first wife, Gertrude Onderdonk, sister to Andrew, was his second wife.)
"1797 Sept. 24. Died on Sat. eve. at Brooklyn, Andrew Onderdonk, Esq. one of the Senators of the southern district and member of the Council of Appointments, a man in whom were centered the endearing qualities of a good citizen, the tender and affectionate husband, the dutiful son, the honest man and Christian."
His children were: Lambert Onderdonk 1787-1790 and Henry Onderdonk 1789-1789
