Sara was the daughter of the late Ross and Katheryn Paardekooper Schakel and the wife of the late Clarence Burton Caldwell with whom she married 20 June 1942 and to this union five children were born one daughter and four sons and the daughter passed away at two years of age. Sara's husband was known as Babe. She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter, a granddaughter who died in infancy, her parents, two brothers and her In-Laws.
