Ira or "Ches" by his family and friends has been a resident of the Crosby area for the past thirty-eight years, he was a avid motor cycle enthusiast who loved to ride his Harley Davidson, he loved to fish especially for large mouth bass, playing pool, and most of all spending time with his family and friends; as Chester is known for his friendly personality and "never met a stranger". Chester was a member of the Conservation Core during the great depression; he was the first motor cycle police officer in Odessa, Texas and after a brief time with the department became an active member on the Odessa fire department, he was one of the original members of the "Chuck Wagon Gang" out of Odessa, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Frady; daughter, Claudette F. Orbison; son, Billy F. Frady; brother, Floyd Frady; sister, Billie Baygent; sister, Vee Perry; sister, Edith Perry; brother, Curtis Frady.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-nine years, Geraldine Frady; daughter, Paulette F. Viator of Crosby, Texas; grandchildren, Wesley Orbison, W.J. Frady of Rosenberg, Texas, Keisha Marshall of Liberty, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be on Saturday, October 31, 2009 from 11 AM – 1 PM at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, TX 77562.
