WALT WARREN DIES IN LINCOLN LAST NIGHT

Walter Warren, brother of Mrs. R.P. Weesner, passed away suddenly at his home in Lincoln, between 9 and 10 o'clock last night and the remains are to be brought here for services, after which interment will be made either in the local cemetery or at Superior.

Mr. Warren had been in failing health for some, having suffered a light stroke while residing here, about two years ago.

Besides his wife he leaves three daughters.

Definite funeral arrangements will not be completed prior to the arrival here of his mother, Mrs. Julia Warren, who left Portland, Oregon, this morning, for this place.

Warren - Walter G. Warren, fifty-three years old, died at the home at 2811 Q street (sic) at 11:15 Sunday. He is survived by a wife and four daughter, Clara and Betsy Jane, living at home, and Mrs. Julie Frofachheuser, and Mrs. Rheva Evans, of Hastings, Neb. He also leaves a mother, Mrs. J.S. arren (sic) of Red Cloud. The body is being held at Morey's funeral home pending funearl (sic) arrangements.

The remains of Walter G. Warren who passed away at Lincoln, Sunday evening, will arrive here this evening.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Congregational church (sic), on tomorrow, Thursday afternoon, at 2 o'clock and interment will be made in the Superior cemetery.

WALTER G. WARREN DIES IN LINCOLN SUNDAY

Walter G. Warren was born at Washington, Iowa, April 18, 1871; died Lincoln, Nebraska, July 13, 1924 - aged 53 years, 2 months and 25 days. He came to Red Cloud with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Warren, from Iowa, in the summer of 1874. When a young man he went to Superior, Nebraska, where he had a monument shop. Here on April 24, 1898, he married Ila Sheffer. To this union were born three daughters, Clara, Julia and Rheva. In 1902 the family left Superior and finally setted (sic) in Chariton, Iowa, where he worked in a monument shop. In 1906 they moved to Red Cloud and he went to work in the Ed McAlister monument shop. Later he engaged in the restaurant business for six years. For the last few years he was a manager of R.P. Weesner's grocery store.

In August 1922 he had a stroke which paralyzed his right side. He recovered from this sufficiently to work in about three months. From then on he had poor health. In February they went to Lincoln where Miss Clara lives. He had several sick spells but the end came suddenly.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, three daughters, Clara of Lincoln, Mrs. Julia Froschheuser and Mrs. Rheva Evans of Hastings; three grandchildren; mother, Mrs. Julia S. Warren; two brothers, J.W. Warren Madras, Oregon and Carl E. Warren San Francisco, California, and two sister, Mrs. Emmeline Morrison, of Washington, Iowa and Mrs. Ruth Weesner of this city; and many other relatives and friends.

He joined Ben Adhem lodge No. 186 I.O.O.F., Red Cloud, February 28, 1910. He was much interested in the work of the order and was quite regular in attendance.

The remains were brought here on Wednesday and funeral services were conducted from the Congregational church (sic) this after by Rev. C.G. Nelson and Rev. H.E. Tweedy. The remains were taken to Superior for interment, the I.O.O.F. services being used at the grave. - Argus.
