Nora Lee Cunningham, age 96, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Home Hospital in Lafayette, IN.
Nora was born April 11, 1913 to John and Nancy Lou-Vicey (Milligan) Hooten in Karber's Ridge, a small town in Hardin County, IL.
She married Oscar Cunningham, formerly of Merom, IN on May 11, 1931. To this union, four children were added: Betty (Andy) Fekete of Lafayette, IN, Bill (Joyce) Cunningham of Drakesboro, KY; and two sons now deceased: Thomas (Sue) Cunningham formerly of Hammond, IN and Ronald (Sharon) Cunningham of Anchorage, AK. Also added to this family were 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren of whom one, Logan Olness, preceded her in death; and five great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 2, 2009 11:00 AM at Jubilee Worship Center, 415 N. Hobart Road Hobart, IN 46342. Officiating the service will be Reverends Thomas Cunningham, Douglas Bolton and hosting pastor, Bishop Dale Combs.
Interment to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Sunday, November 1, 2009 from 2:00 - 6:00 PM at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel, 7535 Taft Street Merrillville, IN and on Monday morning at the church from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jubilee Worship Center, 415 N. Hobart Road, Hobart, IN 46342 or to Central Avenue Church of God, 5120 Central Avenue, Portage, IN 46368.
