Graveside services for Claus Calton, 65 were held Feb. 28, at Bramhall Cemetery with Don Brown officiating. Rowena Calton was soloist. Escorts were Terry Green, John Floyd, Matthew, Andrew and Scott Calton. Honorary escorted were Brek and Shane Schockley, Charles, Bill, Gary, and Terry Calton. Arrangements were under direction of the Holman Funeral Home.
Claus Cloyds, son of Floyd and Nora McMillen Calton, was born July 23, 1921, in Laclede County Missouri, and died Feb. 26, 1987, at his home near Grovespring, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Jim. He worked as a carpenter. He served in the United States Armed Forces in Would War II and the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed collecting arrowheads, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his mother, Nora Calton of Grovespring; a sister, Freda Green of Grovespring,; three brothers, Charles of Morgan, Bill of Grovespring, and Gary of Phillipsburg.
