Graveside service for Joyce Shields, 69, of Bridgeport will be Friday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m. at West Bridgeport Cemetery. Gentry Castleman will officiate.

Shields died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, in Bridgeport.

She was born Nov. 14, 1934, in Ballinger. Shields was a retired dietition and a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Shields, on Nov. 15, 1989.

She is survived by her son, Ronny Shields; daughter, Sharon Gail Massey; five grandchildren, Tony, Ronnica and Cheyenne Shields and Amanda and James Massey; three great-grandchildren, Johnathan, Justin and Brian Massey; two sisters, Maybell Thomas and Arlette Cook; two sisters-in-law, Bonnie Whitworth and Opal Whitworth and extended family members, Pam, Leesha, Mickey and Lacey Smart and Nik, Jeremiah and Cody.

Pallbearers will be Tony Shields, James Massey, Jamey Branscum, Bubba Garner, Jeremiah Gonzales and Nik Dillinder.

Memorials may be made to Home Hospice of Decatur, the Texas Cancer Center of Fort Worth of a favorite charity.
