The son of Isaac Waldron & Abigail Chamberlin. On 5 Dec 1844, he married Laura Huntley McAllister, dau of Francis Green McAllister and Betsey Chamberlin. Together, they had six children.

A farmer in Newbury, Vermont until 11/26/1861 when he enlisted with his 16 year old son, John, in Co C, 8th Vermont Infantry. He passed on due to of disease contracted probably at Libby Prison (NC) where he was held as a prisoner of war.

Currently his military career, including his service in 8th VT; his re-enlistment, and subsequent capture is being researched by his 3G grandson, Ken - TN.

He has a memorial (cenotaph) in his hometown of Newbury, VT.
