Rebecca 'Langston' was the wife
of Noah Maples.
She was the mother of 2 known
children:

Nancy Elizabeth
Thomas

This information was given by
Rebecca's great grandson, the Rev.
Robert Houston Long. He recorded
the Maples' family history and
listed her as his grandmother,
Nancy Elizabeth's mother and
Noah as her father. He wrote
this sometime in the very late
1800's or early 1900's. In the
document, at one point he refer's
to Noah and Rebecca as his great
grandparents.
The original copy is in the the
hands of Phyllis 'Long' Rhodes
at this time.

Also several years back, I was
in contact w/a member of the
Maples' family still living in
Tennessee. He was a member of
the Historical Society and had
done a great deal of research
on his family. He listed Noah
and Rebecca being the parents
of Nancy Elizabeth Maples Long.

However, noted, many do not agree
with this lineage. I for one do
believe it to be correct. There
would be no reason for Rev. Robert
Houston Long to record such a
document and get the information
about his grandmother's parents
in-correct?
Or for Charley Maples to record
it in-correctly with his years
of research on his family.
