CECIL L. BARNETT
GREER -- Cecil L. Barnett, 40, of Rt. 3, Greer, died Wednesday at 6:50 a.m. at a Spartanburg hospital after an illness of one year.
Native of Greenville County, son of T.Q. and Ellen Stokes Barnett of Rt. 2, Greer, he was a former employee of Lyman Printing and Finishing Co., a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church and Hejaz Shrine Temple and a past master of Bailey Masonic Lodge.
Surviving also are his wife, Mrs. Rowne Wilbanks Barnett; a brother, Jimmy C. Barnett of Rt. 3, Greer; two sisters, Mrs. James (Doris) Campbell of Rt. 2, Greer and Mrs. Billy (Betty) Hand of High Point, N.C.; and maternal grandmother, Mrs. I.S. Hamby of Rt. 2, Greer.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 4 p.m. at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church by Rev. F.M. Julian, Rev. Jack Ried and Rev. Kenneth Newton. Burial will be in Wood Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Farrell Sloan, James Vaughn, James Hughes, Clarence Campbell, Hugh Brown and Junior McAbee.
The body is at Wood Mortuary and will be placed in the Church Friday at 3 p.m. The family is at the home of the parents, and will receive friends at the Mortuary Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
