Mr. Fore was born August 22, 1926 in Madison County. He was a resident of River Rouge, Michigan for 12 years where he was a steel worker. Hubert moved to Buncombe County in 1958. He was a counselor for the Juvenile Evaluation Center for 14 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. He attended East Asheville Baptist Tabernacle and he was also instrumental in the building and development of the ball fields at the Primary School in Black Mountain, Victory Baptist Church and Blue Ridge Baptist Church. He was a great carpenter. Hubert devoted his life to children playing sports.
Hubert is preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Perry Fore; sisters, Annie F. Watts, Zora F. Runion, Ethel F. Hollifield, and Georgia Mae F. Allison; and brothers, Ollie Fore, Kenneth Fore, and Frank Fore.
He is survived by his daughters, Joan F. Bryant of Swannanoa, Brenda L. Duncan of Swannanoa, and Sharon Johnston of Swannanoa; sons, James H. Fore of Arden and Danny C. Fore of Black Mountain; sister, Juanita Massey of Black Mountain; brother, James Fore of Asheville; grandchildren, Angela Allen, Tanya Ellis, Jason Johnston, Wesley Johnston, Stephanie Wilkinson, and Maddison Smith; and ten great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held with Reverends Wendell Runion, Andrew Parker, Randy Gregg, and Roland Owenby officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park. Arrangements were in the care of Harwood Home for Funerals.
