Charles Alva Yoakam, 83, died at 5:10 p. m. yesterday in the Marion County Home. He was a retired Erie Railroad employee.
Born August 29, 1871, at Lima, he was the son of James A. Yoakam and Elizabeth Yoakam. His wife, Mrs. Ida Belle Fairfield Yoakam, died some time ago.
Surviving are three children, Clarence Yoakam of Marion, Wilbur Yoakam of Akron, and Mrs. Hazel Mae Fraser of Cincinnati.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 1 p.m. in the Shawnee Church west of Lima and burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery. Friends may call at the M. H. Gunder Funeral Home on W. Center St.
