Elihu md. Sept. 30, 1725 at Windham, Conn., Abigail Robinson, third child and eldest dau. of Windham settler Peter Robinson Sr. and second wife Experience Lumbert. She was born at Tisbury on Martha's Vineyard, Mass. and died at Windham in 1765.
Elihu and Abigail (Robinson) Palmer had seven children. Their first born child, son Amasa, d. at 10 months of age and is interred with his maternal grandmother at Palmertown Cemetery at present-day Scotland, Conn. According to the 1925 published Robinson Genealogy, Elihu and Abigail were interred at the Palmertown Cemetery at Scotland, Conn. To the contrary Elihu and Abigail (Robinson) Palmer have extant gravestones at the north section of the old Scotland Village Cemetery.

• i. Amasa Palmer, b. July 13, 1726 (bapt. Aug. 28); d. Apr. 30, 1727 and is interred with his maternal gr.mother at Palmertown Cemetery at Scotland, Conn. (see his g.s.)
• ii. Elihu Palmer, Jr., b. Feb. 9, 1727/8 (bapt. Feb. 18); m. Lois Foster at Windham, Conn. on Aug. 11, 1752. Twelve children of the family.
• iii. Abigail Palmer, b. Jan. 9, 1729/30 (bapt. Jan. 11); d. young Mar. 12, 1729/30.
• iv. Capt. Jonah Palmer, b. July 23, 1731; d Apr. 12, 1802 at Windham; m. his 1st cousin Abiah Robinson at the Scotland Soc. Chh., then in Windham, Oct. 31, 1754, dau. of Ens. Thomas and Anna Robinson. Nine children of the family.
• v. Abigail Palmer, b. Mar. 25, 1733 (bapt. Apr. 1); d. Sept. 25, 1774 (see her g.s.); m. Nov. 13, 1755 at Windham her 1st cousin Peter Robinson, 3rd. Six children of the family.
• vi. Rhoda Palmer, b. Sept. 6, 1735 (bapt. Sept. 14); d. young in March 1736.
• vii. Amasa Palmer, b. Aug. 29, 1737 (bapt. Sept. 4); m. May 13, 1762 at Windham, Abigail Lasell, dau. of Capt James Lasell and Patience Delano, b. Apr. 5, 1732 at Tolland, Conn. Two known children of the family, but probably others not currently known to the memorialist.
