Paul C. Blattner, age 78, of Toledo, died February 28, 2006, in Heartland of Perrysburg. Paul was born February 17, 1928, in Toledo to George and Alma (Blinzley) Blattner. Paul was employed with LOF (Pilkington) Glass for 30 years until his retirement. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and served with the 2nd Infantry Division, 9th Infantry Regiment. Paul was a member of Maumee American Legion Post 320 and VFW Commodore Perry Post 3338. He was a coordinator for the Toledo All Stars Football League and enjoyed horse racing.
Paul is survived by his daughters, Karen (Michael) Benner and Cathy (Steven) Sabo; sons, Brian (Lynn) Blattner and Christopher (Kelli) Blattner; sister, June Workman, and brothers, Donald (Nancy) Blattner and Thomas (Nyla) Blattner; 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kay; son, Steven Paul and brother, Robert.
Friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee, on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
