Civil War Union Army Officer. He was commissioned as Lieutenant Colonel of the 1st Pennsylvania Reserves on June 4, 1861. Wounded at Charles City Cross Roads on June 30, 1862, he was eventually discharged due to disability on January 7, 1863. A little over a week later he then succumbed to his June wounds.
