DEATH OF MRS. JOHN A. NICELY

Collierstown, March 12th-Last Thursday, the 8th, was a sad day in this community, when the people from all parts assembled to pay their last respects to Mrs. John a. Nicely, who died of pneumonia at her home March the 6th at 9 o'clock a.m., aged 76 years, 2 months and 25 days.

Her remains were laid to rest on the 8th at Mountain View cemetery, witnessed by several hundred friends and relatives. Rev. S. A. Mundy of the Adventist church, assisted by Rev. P. H. Cowherd of the Baptist church, conducted the funeral services.

Mrs. Nicely had been sick only a few days when the end came. She was a true type of a Christian lady. When quite young she connected herself with the Baptist church where she remained until a few years ago, when she joined the
Adventist church, only for convinces to attend that church in her declining days. Grandma, as we all called her, was a highly respected lady, surrounded by a host of friends. She was a kind, affectionate wife and mother, and a
excellent neighbor.

Mrs. Nicely is survived by an aged husband and 10 children: Mrs. David Morris, Mrs. Charles Hickman, Mrs Alfred Clark, Messre Joseph N., Charles F., John G.,
William L., and H. D. Nicely of this county, and James Nicely of MO and George Nicely of Alleghany County, VA; also by fifty-four grand children, fifteen great
grandchildren. It is a remarkable fact that all 10 children are married and their husbands and wives are all living.

She was a kind, loving wife, a true and noble-hearted mother and a model Christian. Truly a saintly mother in Israel has fallen. She was a member of the Second Adventist Church." She was buried in Union View grave-yard on Mar 9,
1906, her pastor the Rev. S. A. Mundy officiating and assisted by the Rev. P.H. Cowherd of the Baptist Church.
