Francis X. (Frank) Schehl, 91, of Herman, died suddenly at 6:45 p.m. yesterdsay in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mary Fagan of 234 E. Brady St.
Born in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Fischer Schehl, he was a resident of the Herman district all his life. Mr. Schehl was a member of the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Herman; the Holy Name Society, the Poor Souls Society, the Third Order of St. Francis, and the Knights of St. George. He was the husband of the late Josephine Portman Schehl.
Surviving are two sons, the Rev. Herbert Schehl, OFM Cap., of St. Cecilia's Church, Rochester; and Anthony Schehl of Haverstown, Pa; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Fagan and Mrs. Agnes Cranmer of Butler; two brothers, John Schehl of Butler and George Schehl of Herman; six sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Noulett, Mrs. Margaret Slater and Mrs. E.J. Baker of Butler; Mrs. Lena Manny of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Angela Riott of Herman and Anna Schehl of Herman; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
