Former Door Resident Dies
Sturgeon Bay - Richard H. Ahlswede, 66, Glidden, died Tuesday. He spent most of his life in Door county but lived in the Clam Lake area the past few years.
Funeral services have been set for 10:30 am, Friday. The Rev. Gary Straughan will officiate at the Soulek funeral home and burial will be in Bayside cemetery. The funeral home visitation starts at 7 pm Thursday.
Mr. Ahlswede was born in the Town of Brussels June 16, 1904, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Ahlswede. He attended Kolberg school and graduated in 1925 from Brussels High School.
