GOODNESS, Christine Olson, 81, born November 12, 1927, entered into eternal rest Saturday, Feburary 7, 2009. She is survived by her loving sister, Mary Olson Branch of Plant City and Sister Mary Juliana of the Sisters of St Joseph, Corozal Puerto Rico. She is also survived by her loving nieces, Mary Louise Cravey, Edith Jeannette Branch, Shirley CeCelia Hurlbert, all of Plant City, and Charlotte Lavon Walls, Fresno, Calif.; and a loving nephew, David Branch of Plant City, all of whom were her caregivers. She was loved by many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Libby Olson; two sisters, Veronica Olson and Faye Olson Deaton; and her beloved husband, Vincent Goodness. Christine was a devout Catholic. Her life and death was a beautiful example of faith and love for our Lord. She served 25 years in the sisters of St. Joseph order for the Diocese of St Augustine as a teacher and principal in Catholic Schools. She taught 17 years in the public school system in Valparaiso, Fla. She was also trained in London, England for the Montessori teaching techniques. She earned a master' s degree from Barry College in Miami, Fla. A celebration of her life will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2009, with father Tom Anastasia as celebrant. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. with a rosary at 9:30 a.m. The family requests no flowers. Donations may be made in her name to LifePath Hospice, 12973 N.
