Son of Brigham E. Bigby Jr. and Pamela Turnage Bigby, he lived in Polk and Tyler County most all of his life. He was an accomplished basketball player in Livingston as well as in college (Angelina Junior College/Abilene Christian University. His great loves were friends, basketball and his dog, Koas. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Brigham E. (Chester) Bigby Sr. of Chester and John Turnage. Survivors are Brigham E. Bigby Jr.,Chester, Pamela Turnage Bigby, Livingston: Brothers, Brigham E. Bigby III, Nacogdoches and John Harrison Bigby of Livingston. Sister: Elizabeth Ann Bigby of Livingston. Paternal grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Bigby, Chester; Maternal grandmother, Jacqueline Lee Estep Turnage of Beaumont; friends, Michael Allen,Livingston; Elijah Moseley, Livingston; Sam (Bo)Morgan Jr., Las Vegas, NV. Friend and companion, Nuke, and a host of other family members and friends. Graveside services were held May 1 with Brother Larry Trest and Pastor Ed Jennings officiating. Services were held under the direction of Riley Funeral Home in Woodville, TX.
Joshua was killed as a passenger in a tragic truck collision on US 59/FM 62, along with his maternal cousin, Mark Stewart Turnage of Sour Lake, TX. Services for Mark were held in Beaumont, TX.

Gravesite Details

Headstone is towards the back left of the cemetery with pictures of Joshua. Pamela Turnage-Bigby is beside Josh on the left. A beautiful bench is at the grave to reflect/remember the life of Josh and all the gifts we were given by knowing him.
