Hugh was the son of John Knox Jr (1717-1792) of Chester County SC. Hugh was not the son of John Knox Jr (1722-1777) of Mecklenburg County NC. Somebody has linked him to the wrong father on FAG. There were two different men named John Knox Jr - in two different states, one in NC and one in SC- and Hugh is the son of the SC-John Knox Jr. NOT the NC-John Knox Jr. Please detach him as his father so Hugh's correct lineage can be denoted. Sadly, people literally destroy lineages when they take NC-John Jr & give him the spouse & children of SC-John Jr
