Mrs. Mary Chapin Burial Set Today

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Chapin, 73, lifelong resident of Washington who died yesterday in Garfield Hospital will be held at 3PM today in Gawler's Funeral Home, 1756 Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest. The Rev. Dr. Oliver J. Hart, rector of St. John's Episcopal Church will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Chapin was born in Georgetown, the daughter of Joseph E. Libbey Jr., who was in the lumber business. Her husband was Frederick E. Chapin, for many years counselor for the Japanese Embassy. He died in 1923. She leaves a son, F.J. Chapin; a brother, Robert Libbey, both of Washington; a daughter Mrs. William C. Meekins, Hendersonville, North Carolina and three grandchildren.
