Betty Gilman, 78, Fulton, died Nov. 27, 2002.

She was born July 15, 1924, in Bentonville, Ark., a daughter of Allen R. and Edna Louis Potts Dews. She was married April 28, 1951 to Ralph Mottaz Gilman, who died Feb. 5, 1981.

She worked at Tom's Cleaners, Fulton and retired from Fulton State Hospital. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Fulton. She volunteered with the Callaway County Historical Society and delivered meals on wheels.

Survivors include: one son, Steve Gilman, Springfield; one daughter, Marsha Mitchell, Columbia; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Larry R. Gilman, and one grandchild.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Maupin Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Ron Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Auxvasse Cemetery .

Visitation will be from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, the Callaway County Historical Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
