Mrs. Barbara J. Barnard, 73, died Saturday morning (December 3, 2011) at her daughter's residence following an extended illness.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Waycross where is worked as a homemaker. She was the daughter to the late Lonzie J. Joyner and Dollie Fender Joyner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. "Sarge" Barnard and a brother, L.J. Joyner, Jr. She attended Liberty Christian Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Linda Ryan (husband, J.B.) of Blackshear, Debra King Lee (husband, Sammy) of Waycross, Cheryl Jowers (husband, Mike) of Waycross and Phyllis Crawford Cox of Waycross; one son, Patrick Eugene Crawford of Waycross; twelve (12) grandchildren and twenty two (22) great grandchildren; seven sisters, Mable Cottingham of Blackshear, Faye Stephens (husband, John R.) of Holly Hill, FL, Oliff Smart of Blackshear, Judy Taylor (husband, Jimmy) of Waycross, Joanne Lee of Blackshear, Frances Waters of Blackshear and Ruth Waters of Blackshear; Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday (December 6, 2011) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
