Born Sept. 4, 1937 in Circleville, he was the son of Charles and Helen (Motz) Mayse, both deceased. He married Mary Manning Feb. 28, 1959; she survives.
Mr. Mayse was a Rush County farmer his entire life and a member of the Rushville Eagles Lodge.
Survivors in addition to his wife include daughters, Donna (Steve) King of Alabama, Debra (Keith) Combs of Laurel, Lisa (Henry) King of Alabama and Teresa Allen of Laurel; brother, John Mayse of Ohio; sisters, Connie Marshburn of North Carolina and Barbara Parsons of Laurel; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Mayse; one sister; and three brothers.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Moster Mortuary in Rushville with Phil Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held after noon Thursday at the mortuary.
