VERA MAE KEMP
Vera Mae Kemp, 63, of Sulphur, the sister of Louetta Foreman and Zelma Lanter, both of Davis, was born May 26, 1946, in Oklahoma City to Winfred Jacob and Elsie Mae (Williamson) Lewis and died Oct. 16, 2009, in Oklahoma City.
Funeral services were Oct. 22 at First Baptist Church in Sulphur. Burial was at Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Oak Grove. A wake was held Oct. 21 at Hale's Krien Funeral Home in Sulphur.
She married Bobby Kemp on March 13, 1967, in Wright City. She worked as a practical nurse at the Veterans Center in Sulphur, where she retired in 2007 after 24 years.
Survivors include: three sons, Bobby Ray Kemp Jr. and Zackery Waylen Kemp, both of Sulphur, and Montilito "Max" Kemp of Ada; one brother; three sisters, including Mrs. Foreman and Mrs. Lanter, both of Davis, and five grandchildren.
