Lamar Riley Payne, 72, of 1616 Poplar Drive Ext., died Nov. 16, 2005, at Allen Bennett Hospital.
A native of Greenville, son of the late John D. and Etta Mae Jones Payne, he was a retired employee of R-Max.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Larry Garner of Smyrna, Ga.; two brothers, Kenneth Payne and Michael Solesbee, both of Greer; four granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Katherine Tapp of Greer.
Mr. Payne was predeceased by three sisters; and three brothers.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Wood Memorial Park, conducted by Evangelist Marvin Vest.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at the Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home of his brother, Kenneth Payne, 117 Landrum Drive, Greer.
