Oscar E. Chambliss, 91, of Hattiesburg, died December 5, 2010 at his home. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Forrest Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Chambliss worked with sheet metal in the roofing industry, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was Baptist.
Mr. Chambliss was preceded in death by his wife, Margret Ann Chambliss and a sister, Virgins Chambliss Extine.
Survivors include a daughter, Norma Jean Chambliss of Metairie; four stepsons, Frazier Hicks of Louisiana, John Schutte of Hattiesburg, Jim Schutte and Joe Schutte both of Iowa; a stepdaughter, Suzanne Lail of Oklahoma; a brother, Oliver Chambliss of Lumberton; and three sisters, Audrey Hennis and Dorothy Donelson both of Purvis and Mildred Dearman of Georgia.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5 – 7 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg.
