Mrs Jessie B Flanders, 84, a former Marengo resident, died at 10 am Sunday, May 15, after a long illness. She had lived in the Villa Rest Home at Pistakee Bay for 2 years.
Born in Creston, Jul 12, 1870, she was the daughter of Mr and Mrs Cicero Frost. Her husband, Silas Flanders, died in 1939. Mrs Flanders lived for some time in Minnesota and with her sister, Mrs Lilly Lewis, in Marengo. She lived at the Florence Rest Home before going to the Villa Rest Home.
Survivors include the sister, who now lives in Davenport, IA, and one brother, Arthur Frost of Belvidere. Two sisters and one brother preceded Mrs Flanders in death. Burial in the Lee Center Cemetery, Lee Center.
