Annie Mae Parton Love, 81, of 12 Jackson Drive, died Jan. 27, 2004, after an extended illness.
A native of Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Ellis and Addie Avery Parton, was an active member of Tucapau Baptist Church since 1949, where she taught the G.A's and the intermediate girls Sunday School Class for many years. Mrs. Love was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Tucapau Eastern Star, was a retired employee of Startex Mills, and was an active member of Startex Mills Retirees.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph S. (Joe) Love, of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Joe Ann and Mike Brown, of Greer; a son, Jerry Love, of Spartanburg; a brother, Hayden Parton, of Spartanburg; and a grandchild, Jeffrey Brown, of Greer.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Dr. William C. Pate and the Rev. Larry W. Wilks. Burial will be at Wood Memorial Park.
The family is at the home, and will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. today at The Wood Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tucapau Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 250, Startex, SC 29377.
