Dalton W. "Donkey" Garrett, 78, of Turners Station, Ky., died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Baptist Hospital East in La Grange, Ky.
He was born in April 1931, the son of Dalton B. and Flora Mae Smith Garrett. He wasa mechanic for the Carroll County School System.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Rowlett Garrett; one son, Dwight Garrett of Turner Station, Ky.; one sister, Velma Heusel of La Grange, Ky.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Danny Garrett, and his parents.
The funeral was at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky. Burial was in English Cemetery.
