Mrs. Ruby A. Smith, widow of Duffy Smith, of Symsonia, died at 8:13 p.m. Wednesday at the Marshall County Hospital.
Mrs. Smith, a former resident of Boaz, was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Essie Flood, of Boaz, two daughters, Mrs. Jacqueline Rule and Mrs. Patsy Roach, of Mayfield, and four sons, Donald Smith, Chicago, Delmer Smith, Symsonia, Alonzo Smith and Maclin Smith, both of Hickory.
Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Cora Crowell, Gracey, a brother, M. A. Flood, Symsonia, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Collier Funeral Home in Benton. Officiating will be the Rev. William Strong and the Rev. George Fournier, and burial will be in the Clark's River Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
